2008 6-berth Kentucky Camp Estro 5 Motorhome with large garage NOW SOLD
The Kentucky Camp Estro 5 is popular amongst the Motocross community as it has a large rear garage capable of carrying Motocross bikes and equipment. And it also has a large audience of family users who wish to take plenty of equipment away when holidaying. This particular vehicle also has an awning with a Privacy room which doubles the living space.
Built on the diesel 2.4 Ford Transit chassis, it has a 6-speed manual gearbox with cruise control and power assisted steering, and air conditioning (requires re-charging). And it is a rear wheel drive vehicle. This one has only covered 57,000 miles and, although there are no paper service records, it had been regularly serviced on behalf of the current owner (since 2016) until he stopped using the vehicle 18 months ago since when it has had no use and, hence, is now being sold. A new engine battery and leisure battery were fitted on 13 June 2022.
The rear garage has a double bed above and there is also a large over cab bed. The final 2-berths can be made up by converting the dinette into another double. The washroom is located adjacent to the rear bed and comprises a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. NB The washroom floor and sink require new drain fittings – the shower is in tact. Opposite the washroom is a fridge and separate freezer adjacent to the kitchen which is fitted with gas oven, grill and hob, a sink and plenty of storage cupboards. Towards the front is a side bench seat and then the forward-facing dinette seats. The cab seats swivel to face the rear enabling more dining space.
In the mid-section is a Dometic air conditioning unit (requires a gas recharge) and also wiring is in place to a roof mounted satellite dome. NB The current owner never used the satellite system so cannot warrant that it is in working order.
The heating and hot water system use a Webasto diesel heater that isn’t working and will require replacement.
Mounted to the rear is a bike rack (2 bikes). There is also an external gas point, gas locker and side storage drawers. The garage can be accessed from both sides.
Overall this is a nicely presented motorhome. With some money spent on it to bring everything back into full working order it will be serviceable for many years to come. We have priced it accordingly.
