Fantastic one owner pop-top camper van with U-shape seating area
This one owner VW T5 van was bought by the one and only owner brand new in South Wales and taken immediately to nearby Cascade Conversions - it has never been used as a commercial vehicle like so many vans you will see on the market. Its condition reflects this as it is very tidy and shows only wear and tear commensurate with its age.
As this is a long wheel base van the longer body enables that little bit of extra room internally and with the U-shape rear layout it provides a spacious feel as soon as the side access door is opened. Pop the folding roof up and adults can stand comfortably too. The rear seating has two opposite facing 3-point seat belts so that rear passengers can travel safely and this area can seat 4 comfortably when parked up. Additionally, the front passenger seat swivels to face the rear if that little bit of extra legroom is required.
The rear seating converts into a substantial bed within a couple of minutes and this, combined with space in the pop top roof for two (children), enables sleeping space for 4 people. The kitchenette has a fridge, 2-burner gas hob and sink unit in stainless steel with storage space below for a gas bottle and water. An Eberspacher diesel powered heater provides warmth when required.
The cab is nice and comfortable with leather seats that are heated, there is air conditioning, a multi media system, electric folding mirrors and electric windows. The rear tinted windows all have curtains and the kitchen side has a sliding window for ventilation.
With under 70,000 miles on the clock the vehicle has spent a good deal of its life in Spain where the owner now permanently resides. He has shipped it back to the UK for us to sell on his behalf and the vehicle is kept in storage with us pending sale. The leisure battery was replaced in 2020 and engine battery was replaced recently.
